Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH) serves the city and is a major gateway for European and Asian destinations. The airport is the main hub for the state owned Olympic Airlines and for Aegean Airlines. A railway station is located next to the airport terminal, and the journey time to the city center is 45 minutes.
